Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in Atlanta, Georgia is a form of outpatient addiction treatment where clients can live from home or in structured, supportive housing. If you or someone you know is struggling with substance use disorder, Peachtree Recovery Solutions can help.
Our immersive programs are designated to help clients that are stable enough to live on their own, but structured enough to support those who need help getting back on track to the road to recovery.
Our Partial Hospitalization Program is a day treatment program geared towards clients who have already had some stable sobriety, or have a stable home environment. This level of care helps clients slowly transition back to life in sobriety in a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
A partial hospitalization program or PHP is a type of treatment that provides more structure and support than an outpatient program but is not as intensive as inpatient treatment.
In a residential program, clients live at the facility 24 hours a day and receive round-the-clock care. PHP patients, on the other hand, typically participate in treatment multiple days each week and return home at night. With a partial hospitalization program in Atlanta, people receive many of the same treatment options as a residential program but enjoy more flexibility.
Like our other Georgia addiction treatment programs, our addiction PHP can vary in length. Some people require 30 days of treatment, while others need 60 days or more. The length of time in treatment depends on a number of factors. Factors include the severity of the addiction, whether the patient has any mental health or dual diagnosis disorders, and whether the patient has been through treatment before.
Each client’s treatment plan is individualized to ensure that they get the care they need to recover. We will develop your treatment plan to specify the length of time you need to attend our program. This can be adjusted as needed.
We offer a wide range of evidence-based treatment options to help patients achieve and maintain sobriety. Treatment options available at our partial hospitalization program in Georgia include:

One of the first benefits you’ll notice is that our treatment comes from a place of compassion. Many of our staff count themselves as proud members of the recovery community.
Because of this, they understand exactly what the people they treat are going through. Staff members can use this knowledge to inform care that comes from a place of experience and empathy.
Additionally, our team brings many years of experience to the table. We employ board-certified addiction specialists who use the most current treatment modalities. They understand the intricacies and challenges of moving through the stages of recovery, including those that come with being in a PHP.
Many people with a substance use disorder also deal with a mental health disorder. Also known as a dual diagnosis, we can treat both conditions at the same time. This helps save the person time and money when they address improving their physical and mental health simultaneously.
Last, attending PHP with us not only helps people while they are under our care. We teach them to learn to recognize potential triggers that could tempt them to relapse. The individual can use the healthy coping skills they learn here after they graduate from treatment. Our goal is to help set people up to stay sober on a permanent basis.
At Peachtree Recovery Solutions, our team of addiction experts near Atlanta specialize in dual diagnosis treatment, and are committed to helping each client find their own path to recovery. Call us now at 678-331-4872
Each person who makes the brave decision to become sober has specific needs when it comes to getting well.
Our Partial Hospitalization Program in Atlanta meets the needs of people who have completed residential care but still need a structured treatment plan as their next step. They may also not have needed residential care at all but do need to attend several sessions a week on an outpatient basis.
PHP works well for those who have a stable home environment in which to live. This allows them to attend multiple sessions a week but not have to live in a facility. It can also work for those who live in sober living homes. We can provide an assessment that will tell us if PHP is the correct level of care for your treatment needs and goals.
Yes, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHPs) can be effective for many individuals who require more intensive care than typical outpatient programs but do not need or cannot commit to residential or inpatient treatment.
The effectiveness of a PHP, like any treatment program, can vary depending on various factors including the person’s specific needs, the quality of the program, the types of services offered. Here are some reasons why PHPs can be effective:
Intensity of Care: PHPs typically provide several hours of treatment per day, several days a week. This intensity can provide the structure and support necessary for individuals dealing with serious mental health conditions or substance use disorders.
Flexibility: PHPs allow individuals to live at home and maintain some of their daily routines, which can make it easier to apply the skills they are learning in treatment to their everyday life.
Continuum of Care: For individuals stepping down from inpatient care, PHPs can provide a transition that continues to offer high levels of support while the individual adapts to living more independently.
Cost-Effectiveness: Compared to inpatient programs, PHPs can often provide a high level of care at a lower cost, making them more accessible to some individuals.
Support Network: Group therapy sessions in PHPs offer a chance for patients to develop a supportive community of peers who are also working towards recovery.
It’s important to remember that while PHPs can be effective, they may not be the right fit for everyone. Some individuals, such as those at high risk of harm to themselves or others, or those with severe withdrawal symptoms, may require the 24-hour supervision provided by inpatient or residential treatment programs.
